How are migrants affected by inequalities before and during their journeys? The International Centre for Migration Policy Development's  Migration and Mobility Dialogue and capacity-building programmes, MIEUX and MC2CM, analyse the complex dynamics of migration, advising institutions how to respond. The speakers participate in these EU-funded projects. They will discuss how inequalities affect one’s ability and decision to migrate; how to mitigate inequality through portability of rights; how integration policies contribute to reducing inequalities; and how local governance can foster social cohesion/balanced territorial development to embody the "leave no one behind" principle. Examples are from Africa, Central America and the Middle East.
