Social entrepreneurship is key to advancing the SDGs by addressing the gaps left by governments and institutions in combating social, economic and environmental challenges. Driven by their creativity and responsiveness, young women and men are taking the lead in applying innovative business solutions to prevailing challenges and are generating demonstrable positive social impact. The session seeks to highlight how social entrepreneurship is contributing to the SDGs by brainstorming on practical ways to quantify and qualify the impact generated by young mission-driven women and men in advancing Gender equality (SDG 5), Industry, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9), and Responsible consumption and production (SDG 12).
